Universal Sun Tracker

Dual axis tracking unit for PV module installation with 21 (27m2), 27 (35,8m2), 28 (37m2) and 36 (46m2) modules.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION for ST-xx SUN TRACKERS

CONSTRUCTION
For tower we use light weight and very robust hot Zn metal construction. The arms for PV modulus are made from Anodized Aluminum.

SCREW
All used screws and bearings for vertical axis are made from STEINLES STEEL. We can say that you will no see any rust after many years in this complete UNIVERSAL SUN TRACKER.

TRACKERCAN BE USED FOR CPV
Basically our tracker is developed for PV modulus. Because of very high rigidity and wind stability it can be used for CPV ( Concentrated Photovoltaic with parabolic mirror or with FRESNEL lenses), where accuracy of +- 0.15 degree is needed.

VERTICAL AXES ANGLE
For the vertical axis angle we use our own SOLAR LINEAR ACTUATOR. All outside parts are made from STEINLES STEEL and anodized Aluminum.

LIMIT SWITCHES
In actuator we built in adjustable limit switches for max. and min. stroke position. Also AZIMUTH have at +135 and at -135 degree limit switches. On both axis we built mechanical limiter to protect tower from over travel. Limit switches we use OMRON. The limit switches position is under bearing cover , which protect them from raining.

ELECTRIC BOX
SUN TRACKER also includes electric box with all necessary components and sensors for dual axis tracking. Al low voltage cable for sensors and limit switcher are over voltage protected.
PV voltage 150 - 400 V which was converted with DC/DC to 24 V, is also used for 24 V Accu charging. The system have additional service input and AC/DC convector 220 /24 V if Accu or DC/DC convector don't work.

INREASING THE EFFICIENCY
Because AZIMUTH rotation 270 degree and VERICAL rotation 0 - 90 degree, this tracker will follow the sun 100 % all day time. They will also follow the highest output energy, in diffuse sun radiation.
The output energy on yearly bases will be higher approximately 40 % if you compare with fix angle PV module installation.

The construction for SUN TRACKER Model ST21,ST27,ST28 and ST36 are patented.

PACKING
We supply complete SUN TRACKER in wooden box.

 

For foundation calculation we use wind speed 100 km/h and security factor 2.
